I am possibly the world's most petite and outgoing accountant! Since a career in the WNBA was not to be, I found my niche at reconciling numbers to balance to the glorious number zero instead.

I have worked in various aspects of accounting and finance for the last 20 years. For the past 5 years, my niche has been on non-profit and service-based industries with a strong focus on dental, ortho and medical offices. It is rewarding to know I am helping both my business & clients grow by digging into the numbers with them and helping them understand how each decision has a financial impact.

When I am not creating master Excel spreadsheets, you can find me either volunteering with animal rescues, giving my old dog Brady well-deserved belly rubs or figuring out ways to embarrass my two daughters. (ie: I’m not like a regular mom, I’m a cool mom!)

I’ve been exposed to the accounting industry most of my life, due to my mom’s affinity for it. Hoping that it runs in the family, I expressed an interest in it when I was in high school. After taking some accounting courses in college, I wondered if mom was up for a little nepotism!

I have been working as a Staff Accountant for Brio Accounting since December 2018. I focus on the day-to-day processes of our clients such as maintaining their bank feeds, processing payroll and managing their payables. I’m very excited to be a part of a growing family business and expanding my accounting experience in the process!

Personally, my interests range from devouring Stephen King novels, hiking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and creating the perfect charcuterie board. I have also gotten really good at ignoring my mom’s constant claim that she’s a ‘cool mom’.
